Bows and Arrows

Thanks for taking a look at our Gallery.  We are constantly updating the products so come back often.

While I have only recently begun bow building, I have instantly fallen in love with it.  It is a great feeling being able to take a piece of wood and craft it into a beautiful but deadly weapon.

There are basically three types of arrows that I currently make.  The first being "craft" arrows, where dowels are crafted using power tools and carved arrowheads are mounted with glues. The other two are functional and not functional Native American arrow replications, made using shoots, branches and formed into an arrow by traditional methods.

 Douglas Fir silk backed bow

Birch dowels with various heads and feathers which were attached with artificial sinew and craft glue.

This 4 foot Douglas Fur bow was designed into a Plains bow, just like it was done hundreds of years ago. It has painted designs on the back, deer hide grip and simulated sinew four strand string.    I still want to decorate it. This four foot oak bow is light weight and strung with simulated sinew. While it won't take down large game, I designed it for bow fishing, and it is perfect for that function.
